UNLOCKING THE SECRETS OF SUCCESSFUL ARTICLE PUBLICATION: A COMPREHENSIVE GUIDE

Published Time:2023-05-06 Views No.:

The School of Management organized a capacity-building and research improvement strategy seminar for postgraduate students on April 21, 2023. It was entitled “Unlocking the Secrets of Successful Article Publication: A Comprehensive Guide.” The main speaker for this important seminar is Mr. Agyemang Kwasi Sampene, a third-year Ph.D. candidate in Management Science and Engineering from the School of Management.

In the seminar, participants were exposed to critical insights and practical tips on navigating the complex terrain of academic publication and increasing their chances of getting published in top-quality journals.

One of the key takeaways from the seminar was the importance of proper planning and preparation before submitting an article for publication. This includes conducting a comprehensive literature review, updating theories related to the study variables, and applying methodologies that best reveal the study objectives. He also highlighted the need to identify the most suitable journals for the work and ensuring that the article adheres to the formatting and submission guidelines of the chosen journals.

Mr. Agyemang also stressed the importance of crafting an attention-grabbing abstract that clearly communicates the main contributions of the work since this gives authors an advantage in passing the peer-review process successfully.

Attendees were encouraged to form research teams, seek out opportunities to collaborate with colleagues within and outside of their field and attend conferences and workshops to expand their professional networks. It was an invaluable experience for aspiring writers and researchers. Thanks to the organizers and participants for such a spectacular forum.
