This subject obtains master degree conferral right in 1990 and doctoral degree in 2000. It is authorized to set up the postdoctoral research workstation, with the doctoral supervisor and Professor Mei Qiang as its academic leader. This subject was honored with "Excellent Higher Education's Discipline Echelon of Jiangsu Province" in 2006, and was assessed key subject of Jiangsu Province. This subject focuses on studying the management theories methods and tools adapting to modern production and management, technology, economy, society, etc, explains and discloses the law of management activity adopting modern scientific approaches and technological achievements, and develops management theories, methods and tools to enhance the efficiency of management. Innovation management and SME development (second-class discipline doctoral degree)

This was the second-class discipline doctoral degree authorized units created by Jiangsu University independently. Its academic leader is doctoral supervisor and Professor Mei Qiang. This subject is engaged in studying the law of innovation management, especially the theories and practical issues of SME entrepreneurship and innovation development. The main research interests are as follows:
　　1) Research on innovation environment and SME development 
        2) Innovation management theories and methods

　　The school years and credit requirements
　　The school year of full-time PhD. students is 3-4 years, and the school year of On-the-job Ph.D. students is 5 years. You can extend school years if indeed necessary. General the extension is no more than 1 year.
　　The courses of PhD. students can be divided into two types, the credit course and elective course. The total time of the course studying is about 1 year.
　　The total credits of courses should not less than 15, and the credits of degree courses should be at least 12. The total credits of courses for equivalent students should not less than 18, and the credits of degree courses should be at least 12. In addition, the equivalent students have to take at least two courses of basic or specialized courses of master degree (without credit).
　　The entire PhD. student should take participant in technology activities such as seminar or academic discussion, communication at least 20 times.

　　Course setting

Note: Student who has been taken the second language courses and passed the examination during the postgraduate stages, can apply for exemption of second language courses with the second foreign language results prove in postgraduate stages. Other students must choose the second language courses, and can gain 2 credits if pass the exam. The remaining courses in PhD course catalog are optional.

　　The degree thesis 
　　Papers should reflect that the author has mastered the basic theory and system of a solid and broad depth of expertise on this subject. The Degree thesis should covers two aspects on theoretical analysis and experimental study, and emphasizes the depth and breadth of content, highlight the creativity and the creative opinion or extension to new areas.
　　Degree thesis should be finished by the PhD. student himself under the guidance of teacher, to show that the writer has the ability to be engaged in scientific research independently or the independent ability to work for a special technology. Including:
