主讲简介:李根,国际熊彼特学会前理事长,韩国科学技术院终身院士。1989年获美国加州大学伯克利分校经济学博士、韩国首尔国立大学经济学教授、经济追赶中心创办所长。《Research Policy》主编(创新经济与管理领域TOP1 SSCI期刊)、《Industrial and Corporate Change》副主编(SSCI期刊)、《Asian Journal of Technology Innovation》副主编(SSCI期刊)。亚太创新网络委员会前主席,联合国发展政策委员会理事、World Economic Forum理事。著作《经济赶超的熊彼特分析》获得2014年度熊彼特奖。长期关注后发国家经济追赶(catch up)。李根教授学术论文累积引用6937次,H指数38,单篇论文最高引用1114次。

主讲内容:In this study, patent data is used in detail to analyze Huawei's catch-up strategy to Ericsson by comparing Samsung with SONY. Quantitative analysis is used to study whether the latecomer uses the same or different technologies to catch up with the incumbents. The number of registered patents is used to analyze the technological catch-up in quantity, and the number of patent citations is used to analyze the technological catch-up in quality. And this paper researches whether Huawei relies more on recent (or old) technologies than the incumbents. Conclusions show that: Huawei's technological Catch-up with Ericsson is preceded of the market, and Tech. Capability is the fundamentals in Catch-up. With Huawei successfully playing catch-up, the latecomer ended up creating a unique path which different from Ericsson's.
